Before hitting the IL in 2018, Leibrandt 1.42 ERA over 50.2 innings. Leibrandt set the IronPigs record by opening the season with 30 consecutive scoreless innings.
If Brandon Leibrandt can pitch to a form reminiscent of 2018, this is a high-impact addition for High Point. Even if Leibrandt struggles and wrestles with an innings limitation, our projections still show his worst-case scenario being 3rd starter for the club. High-end projections show Leibrandt as a potential sub-2.00 ERA ace, but he might be back in affiliated ball before the all-star break.
